Cantina Paolini, winemaker from Sicily
The Legacy of Cantina Paolini: A Sicilian Wine Producer
Historical Roots and Formation
The history of Cantina Paolini coincides with the abolition of privileges and the distribution of the land of the nobility of Marsala, in the west of Sicily. It was during this period that the redistribution of the plots of land saw the revival of small landowners and winemakers who went on to start growing and tending to vineyards with passion and expertise.
Quality Production from a Cooperative
Today, over 800 winegrowers provide the grapes from their land to the cooperative, which is one of the largest producers of high-quality wines on the island. In the image of the Gurgò wines awarded a great many medals in international competitions (Brussels 2008, Vinitaly 2008, International Wine Challenge - France 2008), Cantina Paolini has made a production combining quality and authenticity by rigorously selecting grapes from the finest vines, coming exclusively from estates spread over 5200 acres. Favoured by an exceptional microclimate and an innovative winemaking and ageing process, the wines of Cantina Paolini perfectly express the flavours and warmth of the Sicilian terroir.
